Lost Girl: Recap of S3:Ep.2 – SubterrFAEnean + Promo for ConFaegion
Monday, January 21st, 2013Network Blurb: Bo revels in a lotta lovin’, but can’t escape the new darkness that haunts her. When Kenzi’s childhood friend is snatched away before her eyes, Bo follows her bestie underground – literally – to help find him. Meanwhile, Dyson’s new partner looks like trouble for Bo.
My recap: I do not see what everyone else is seeing. This episode was not that great, but it did have some great highlights, which I will pinpoint:
- Vex – The addition of this character, who I hope will become a regular, gives the shows some much needed levity. Watching Bo and Kenzi verbally go back and forth with this dark fae is a highlight. Especially when he wears Bo’s kimono.
- Tamsin – Dyson’s new partner and dark fae is full of sass and is hell bent on making Bo pay for the deaths of some dark fae. The best bit of Tamsin is that she and Dyson have an undeniable chemistry that makes you kind of cheer them on, even if it is just to see how pissed Bo will get over learning that these two are hooking up.
- Hale – We saw him, for all of what two minutes, but that was better than nothing.
Regarding Bo and Kenzi, they are on the case again as a friend of Kenzi disappears at an underground event. They suspect an alligator-like Fae named Atticus, but they soon learn after saving a slew of missing individuals that it was not Atticus, but the Pied Piper. Yes, they went into Once Upon a Time territory with this one, but there was no prince to help save the day.
Again, this was not one of my faves, but I am holding on to hope that the next one will be one of the greats…
