Beauty and the Beast: Recap of S4:Ep.11 – On Thin Ice and Promo and Synopsis for Cold Turkey
Friday, February 1st, 2013Network blurb: VINCENT’S IDENTITY IS THREATENED — Vincent (Jay Ryan) is torn between his new feelings for Cat (Kristin Kreuk) and his old memories with Alex (guest star Bridget Regan). J.T. (Austin Basis) learns that Evan (Max Brown) is planning to propose a task force to catch the beast and must figure out how to stop him. Meanwhile, Tess (Nina Lisandrello) investigates the mysterious skydiving death of the wife of a billionaire adventurer, while Cat remains off duty until she recovers from being shot.
My recap: I know that Vincent being torn between the love of his past (Alex) and the woman he has been falling for over the last few weeks (Cat) is really difficult for Vincent. But, when is he just going to make a decision.
The clever bit about tonight’s episode was that all the women showed a new side to themselves. Alex is willing to go the extra mile (drop her towel in front of Vincent), Cat opens up to her therapist and makes a break through that enables her to proclaim her love for Vincent, Evan’s girlfriend actually works for Muirfield (Who saw that coming? Not me.), and Tess is still the sassy and lovelorn partner to Cat that brings some much needed levity.
Yes, Vincent did almost get found out. Yet, it was the realization by both these women that there is a lot going on between Vincent and the other woman in his life that is making us mentally prepare for the worst in this story arc.
I loved seeing Even and J.T. work together and even though they are on opposite sides of the road when it comes to why they are researching “the creature,” it is interesting to see some movement in their story lines, other than J.T. being a roommate for Vincent and Evan waiting for Cat to look at him.
Overall it was a cool little soap opera-ish episode.
Synopsis of Cold Turkey: Cat (Kristin Kreuk) suspects Muirfield might know Vincent’s (Jay Ryan) whereabouts and in spite of her vow to go cold turkey, she is forced to interrupt his romantic cabin getaway with Alex (guest star Bridget Regan) in order to save their lives. Meanwhile, Evan (Max Brown) finds a bug in his lab and becomes increasingly suspicious of J.T. (Austin Basis).
