Support a worthy cause! Kristin Bauer van Straten (Pam on True Blood) is auctioning off a sexy piece of authentic True Blood wardrobe in support of her documentary ‘Out for Africa’. This documentary gives the viewer a Kenyan’s perspective on the crisis that the Elephants and Rhinos face in their homeland due to rampant poaching for the ivory and horn trades to supply the growing Asian market.
The item up for auction on eBay right now is the bra worn by Anna Paquin in the openings scene of episode 4.06 “I Wish I Was The Moon” of True Blood when Sookie makes out with Eric (Alexander Skarsgard). Poaching for Elephant ivory and Rhino horn is at an all-time high. In 2011, more elephant tusks were seized than in any year since 1989 when the ivory trade was banned. Accelerated poaching made 2011 the worst year for the Rhino. The Western Black Rhino has now gone extinct entirely. If we don’t do more it is likely Elephants in the wild will also be extinct in our lifetime.

The True Blood Costume Department donated the bra to Kristin Bauer van Straten in support of her ongoing fundraiser to finance the documentary Out for Africa that Kristin and her husband Abri van Straten is shooting this now in Kenya.
Other items for auction are first edition hardcovers ‘Definitely Dead’ and ‘A Touch Of Dead’ signed by Charlaine Harris, the writer of the books that True Blood is based on.
