Synopsis: Acting on a mysterious tip that a plot is brewing against him in New Orleans, Klaus makes a trip to the town he and his family helped build. Klaus’ questions lead him to a reunion with his former protégé, Marcel, a charismatic vampire who has total control over the human and supernatural inhabitants of New Orleans. Determined to help his brother find redemption, Elijah follows Klaus and soon learns that Hayley has also come to the French Quarter searching for clues to her family history, and has fallen into the hands of a powerful witch named Sophie. Meanwhile, in Mystic Falls, Damon and Stefan continue with their plan for Elena, while Katherine reveals a surprising vulnerability to Rebekah and asks her to deliver a message.
My thoughts: I have to admit that I really liked this back door pilot to the now green lit spin-off of The Vampire Diaries. Since we met “the Originals” we all said that they were far more entertaining the original cast of The Vampire Diaires and I place the blame on the storylines. The Originals pulled us out of Mystic Falls and expanded the universe of this show and injected it with some much needed fun.
Watching Klaus go to his old stomping grounds and feel like someone stole his destiny, you know we were sitting on the edge of our seat. Then to find out that he had baby mama drama that the local witches were trying to use in order to force Klaus to take down his progeny. Of course, this is Klaus we are speaking of and initially he could care less about the bun in the oven, but after talking to Elijah (who surprisingly dropped Katerina in order to assist his brother) and meeting a human bartender named Camille, he decides to do what the the witches ask of him and to also accept his heir.
Now, the only question we have is what forces Rebekah to up and leave Mystic Falls for New Orleans?
There were a couple of non-Originals scenes and it seems Elena is tougher than we thought and the Brothers Salvatore are willing to do whatever it takes to turn her feelings back on.
Next time: Damon and Stefan try a brutal new approach to provoke Elena into turning her humanity back on, and Caroline is frustrated when her attempt to intervene backfires. When Elena figures out a way to call the Salvatore brothers’ bluff, they call for backup from a surprising source. Matt gives Rebekah some unsolicited advice on her life choices, and she tries to help him in return. Caroline has a confusing and dangerous encounter with Klaus, and Katherine is suspicious when Bonnie makes her an offer that she promises will benefit them both.
Last Bite is back with news on the new shows that will be popping up on your TV in the 2013-2014 TV season (i.e. Dracula, Gothica, The Originals, The Selection, The Witches of East End and more…) and the latest news on upcoming movies (Star Wars, Blood Sisters and Divergent).
For SBLC, Maria reviews Warm Bodies the book and Kelly gives us a major hint on who Sookie may pick at the end of the Sookie Stackhouse series.

Joseph Morgan stated the following in an interview with TV Guide
“In the episodes to come after break, there’s a certain amount of him sitting with his feet up, looking at the carnage as it unfolds before him. He’s pulling the puppet strings and then letting them go to see what happens.”
Yet, with the knowledge that Klaus’ sister (Rebekah) and brother (Kol) are coming back and pissed off beyond belief at Klaus, it seems that Klaus will indeed hit a rough patch. Will this end in his desmise? Only time will tell…
The Vampire Diaries: We can’t say when Caroline will meet Haley, but we can tell you that the revelation will push Caroline towards Klaus. Before Forwood fans completely freak out, Phoebe Tonkin tells us, “There’s no catfights. You definitely see an interesting dynamic between Caroline and Haley,” though she adds, “I think definitely Caroline is kind of suspicious.”
Once Upon a Time: Sadly, it seems like it might be a while to find out about Tinkerbell on Once Upon a Time as Colin O’Donoghue (Captain Hook) tells us he has yet to film any Neverland scenes (they are currently filming episode 11). In fact, he hasn’t even been told if they are definitely introducing Peter, though he’s hoping OUAT decides to—we hope so too!
Info:“When Stefan (Paul Wesley) questions Klaus about Connor’s (guest star Todd Williams) motives, Klaus reveals a long-ago encounter with a powerful group of vampire hunters, but it’s Rebekah who delivers the information that stuns Stefan.”
This little sci-fi show that aired from 2004-2005 which also starred Michael Fassbender and The Vampire Diaries’ Joseph Morgan, will be back on your TV filling the slot that Doctor Who will leave after the fall season finale.
Show summary: Cassie yearns to be popular and liked at her school. She wishes she was in the “in-crowd”; however, she goes about unnoticed in school everyday. The only girl who truly notices her is her best friend Thelma. For some strange reason though, Cassie feels like she is being followed by a man. This, however, is only the beginning of her problem.
As the year progresses we will update this section with new books that we think you will like.
