Well, it seems like the Supernatural fans spent the weekend voting for the actor that portrays their favorite quirky angel.

Synopsis: With Crowley poised to undo all the good they’ve ever done as hunters, Sam and Dean find themselves cornered. But with Kevin’s help, the Winchester brothers bound into one last play against The Demon King. Metatron initiates a plan with Castiel to take on Naomi and the bureaucracy of Heaven.
Maria and Kelly are back and this time they are not only discussing the latest news and spoilers of your favorite books, movies and TV shows, but they recap their top 5 shows of the month: Grimm, Being Human, Supernatural, Once Upon a Time and the Walking Dead and discuss their dud of the month: Lost Girl.
For SBLC, they talk about the Indigo Spell by Richelle Mead and in Movie Time, Maria reviews Beautiful Creatures… which she liked… a lot.

Summary: The Winchesters investigate a case involving an amnesiac zombie and discover that he’s the Greek Titan, Prometheus… and that the goddess Athena wants him dead.
My Recap: I must admit that this episode is probably my favorite of this season, so far. We meet a handsome drifter walking alongside a road and them BAM… he gets hit by a drunk and sleepy driver. The driver drives off and we see a bird of prey feeding off of the drifter. When a sheriff comes by, he checks the body and calls it in. Then the drifter awakens and walks away.
The Brothers Winchester come across the story and go off to investigate and when they go to a coroner, they see the body and assume the “zombie” is officially dead, but he awakens and they drag him back to their lair once they’ve figured out that he is, in fact, Prometheus. If you know your Greek lore, than you recall that he is the titan that gave humans fire and as a result of his act he was punished by Zeus to suffer death on a daily basis. Did I mention that he was kind of handsome? Anywho, he is not the only individual who is taken to the Legacy hide-out. Nope, we also met one of Prometheus’ one-night stands that gave birth to his son, Oliver, who is also afflicted with the daily death curse.
The Winchesters, Prometheus and Hailey (the one night stand) work together to entrap Zeus; in order to free the boy of the curse. This all backfires, due to a Mom’s love of her son, and with the assistance of Artemis (who has been crushing on Prometheus) they slay Zeus and free the little boy of the curse. Unfortunately, Prometheus had to sacrifice his life for his son. Thus ending an episode that not only was stellar, but better than the last two Clash of the Titans movies put together.
We did see a couple of moments of worry for Sam. He is still bleeding and we have no idea why. Also, he tells his brother that he feels that he may not be up to the task of closing the gates of hell. This led to a somber moment where Dean prayed for assistance from Castiel to keep his brother safe. We prayed right along with him.
There were some fun moments and they all stemmed from Dean, who tries to show off that he and Sam are Legacies and his bewilderment over Sam antagonizing Artemis in order to gain her assistance in their quest to save Oliver.
By the way, I would watch a show dedicated to the gods of Olympus in a modern setting. Wouldn’t you?
Next Time: To air on March 20th…
Misha Collins, a.k.a. the beloved and off kilter angel Castiel on Supernatual, has signed on to return to Supernatural’s ninth season as a series regular. We’ve also learned that he will direct an episode next year.
Now, if they could only secure DJ Qualls (Garth) as a series regular.
Yesterday, we listed quite a few details about the upcoming season and one of them was about a big death; dun, dun, dun…
TVLine stated the following:
Stop asking yourself who dies and start asking yourself who does the killing. That’s what people will be talking about the following morning
at the watercooleron line at Starbucks.
They also went on to say that a big secret would be unearthed and it would change the course of the show. This stands to reason because at the rate the show was going… Mystic Falls would be a town filled with only Supernatural creatures and those that want to hunt them down. What fun would that be?
There was a fun little bit on Castiel and Dean’s relationship in Purgatory:
“People are always referring to purgatory as hell, and purgatory is not hell. Purgatory is a really brutal, free-wheeling place, but it has different effects on different people. It will have a different effect on Cas and Dean as you already started to see [in the Season 7 finale]. But I will say what you think you saw might not be exactly what you saw.” – Jeremy Carver, Supernatural’s showrunner.
This will be a roller-coaster of a season for the CW shows and I think fans will love it!!!!
No?
Supernatural – Misha Collin, a.k.a. Castiel, will be in a minimum of 8 episodes this season.
The Vampire Diaries – Remember Bonnie’s boyfriend, Jamie, well the writers are still deciding if they will further explore this relationship.
Once Upon a Time – They are casting for a new character named Beaman, a peddler of rare and illegal antiquities who makes his sales in the shadowy corners of Fairy Tale Land taverns. Beaman lives on the wrong side of the law and will have an interesting run-in with Milha, a wife and mother who hits up the bar to add a little excitement to her “humdrum” village life.
