Good Morning Everyone,
We knew this day was coming, but now that it is just a few hours away… it will be a bittersweet day. What I am talking of is the last book in the Southern Vampire Mysteries a.k.a. the Sookie Stackhouse series.

This series, no matter if you had issues with it or not, was always something that took us out our day-to-day for a couple of weeks in May. It allowed us to live vicariously through this young southern barmaid who had an extraordinary ability that made her very attractive to vampires, werewolves, and everything else that went bump in the night.
In her triumphs and pitfalls in love, we cheered her on as she loved and lost.
Through all the ups and downs of being a telepath and being embroiled in the local shenanigans of the supernatural population in Louisiana, we kept hope alive that one day she would be done with this part of her life and on to a life that she deserves.
And here we are, at the end of our tether to this universe. Will we all be happy with the end of this series? Probably not.
This podcast and site has always been pro-Sookie from the get-go. Yes, we may have fallen in and out of love with certain characters, but we always wanted Sookie to have a Happily Ever After. I think that is the one thing we, Sookie fans, and Charlaine have always looked eye to eye on.
As you know, this is not really the end… we still have one book. The coda, After Dead, which will be released on October 29, 2013.
Charlaine Harris stated the following regarding the coda: “It will be a slim book containing what happens AFTER “DEA” to many of the characters I’ve created over the years. And Lisa is drawing a Sookie alphabet for the book. There are several other features under consideration for this volume, which is intended as a stocking stuffer.”
Maybe, we’ll finally learn what happened to Barry the Bellboy.

Steven Moffat was recently interviewed and he was asked about the finale and he said the following:
It’s full of surprises and questions that have never been answered in the history of Who, including the Doctors greatest secret. We’re not pretending, we’re not kidding, it’s actually going to happen. The episode is called The Name of the Doctor and involves our hero in a conflict that is very, very personal to him. Usually he’s saving other people, but this time he might be the one who needs to be saved. We’ll also find out what makes his new companion so impossible and there’s a surprise that no one has got right so far, and one that will change the course of Who forever!

One last bit before you start prepping for tonight’s

In June, you will be able to pick up your copy of Regeneration, a limited edition collectors’ book and DVD that every Whovian would give up their sonic screwdiver for.
The Doctor Who Regeneration set is an individually numbered, beautifully packaged, coffee table album including six DVDs of Doctor Who adventures – including fan favourites like The Caves of Androzani and The End of Time, plus an advance release of the First Doctor’s final adventure The Tenth Planet. – DoctorWho.tv
The set is adorned with superb photography from across the era and features detailed and informative accounts of each regeneration. The collection features each Doctor’s iconic regeneration episode; from the First Doctor played by William Hartnell, exhausted after battling the Cybermen to Jon Pertwee’s Third Doctor suffering from radiation that had been unleashed by the Great One; and from the spectacular transformation of the Ninth Doctor to David Tennant’s emotional farewell as the Tenth. And if that wasn’t enough, new to DVD is The Tenth Planet featuring the Doctor’s first regeneration – beautifully restored with the missing fourth episode now brought to life with stunning animation. Utilising the original soundtrack, off-screen photographs and a short surviving sequence of the Doctor’s regeneration the episode has been now reconstructed in animated form, incorporating the restored version of the surviving sequence.

Adrian has a new BFF-
Rowena Clark and I had met on the first day of our mixed media class. I’d sat down at her table and said, “Mind if I join you? Figure the best way to learn about art is to sit with a masterpiece.” Maybe I was in love, but I was still Adrian Ivashkov.
Rowena had fixed me with a flat look. “Let’s get one thing straight. I can see through crap a mile away, and I like girls, not guys, so if you can’t handle me telling you what’s what, then you’d better take your one-liners and hair gel somewhere else. I don’t go to this school to put up with pretty boys like you. I’m here to face dubious employment options with a painting degree and then go get a Guinness after class.”
I’d scooted my chair closer to the table. “You and I are going to get along just fine.”
Before you ask…
This book is told from both Sydney and Adrian’s POVs. They alternate chapters. So, the mini-excerpt below is from him, and the longer one is from her. – Richelle Mead

For those of you that have not seen the publisher’s blurb about this book, please read the following:
Dating the Prince of Darkness has its challenges…
Leila’s psychic abilities have been failing her, and now she isn’t sure what the future holds. If that weren’t enough, her lover, Vlad, has been acting distant. Though Leila is a mere mortal, she’s also a modern woman who refuses to accept the cold shoulder treatment forever–especially from the darkly handsome vampire who still won’t admit that he loves her.
Like choosing between eternal love and a loveless eternity…
Soon circumstances send Leila back to the carnival circuit, where tragedy strikes. And when she finds herself in the crosshairs of a killer who may be closer than she realizes, Leila must decide who to trust– the fiery vampire who arouses her passions like no other or the tortured knight who longs to be more than a friend? With danger stalking her every step of the way, all it takes is one wrong move to damn her for eternity.
