Arrow and Vampire Diaries Producers Team Up for Potential New CW Drama ‘Tomorrow People’

Greg Berlanti – co-creator and producer of the new CW hit series Arrow – and Julie Plec – current showrunner for The Vampire Diaries – have decided to team up for a new CW series called Tomorrow People.

Tomorrow People is actually a UK series that originally aired between 1973-1979.  Berlanti and Plec (who were actually friends in college) both enjoyed the series back while it was on the air and have decided to adapt it for American audiences.

The show focuses on a group of young people with special powers during as teleportation and telepathy.  They team up together to help fight evil.  In other words, think Heroes meets every superhero movie ever made, which is essentially what this sounds like.

Plec will executive produce the drama if it gets picked up to series.  The pilot was written by Chuck scribe Phil Klemmer.
