Meet True Blood’s new Claude
Giles Matthey was recently interviewed by TheInsider.com and the Brit spoke of Claude, the fairy.
Regarding Claude’s profession, will he be a stripper?
You’ll have to wait and see! But fairies are very sexual creatures – they smell of freshly baked bread, sex and candy, so if that is a hint at all. This season goes deeper into the fairy world, which is quite different from the books, but I think the fans will find that very exciting.
What are you excited for fans to see with Claude?
I’m excited for the fans reception of fairies. Obviously I have a vested interest, but I’ll be curious to see how they receive them. Without giving too much away, they’re very different on the show than they were in the books. We’ve had hints about it before, but now that we know Sookie’s a fairy and vampires are addicted to our blood, we delve into what it means to be a fairy. It’s leading up to a giant climax, which is so fantastic.
