The Vampire Diaries Season 3 DVD Release Date Announced

The third season of The Vampire Diaries will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on August 28, 2012. The 5 disc set will include the following special features:

- A gag reel.
- Pages of the Wolf: Three features concerning the myth and mysteries of werewolves on season three, including Michael Trevino’s transformative makeup process.
- Her Own Worst Enemy: A feature focusing on how Nina Dobrev portrays both Elena and Katherine.
- The Perfect Love Triangle: Focuses on vampires, werewolves, witches and their various romantic entanglements.
- Never-before-seen footage.
- Audio commentary on “Masquerade” with Executive Producers Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec.
