The Hunger Games has it’s Foxface and more…

Friday, April 29th, 2011

Earlier today we read that Woody Harrelson has reportedly been offered the role of Head Gamemaster Seneca Crane in the big screen adaptation of The Hunger Games and that Stanley Tucci and Lenny Kravitz have also been offered unknown roles. Right now, tho, we learn for certain that the boy and girl tributes from District 5 have been cast for the film. Newcomers Chris Mark and Jackie Emerson have won the roles … both characters are nameless but the girl tribute from District 5 is referred to as Foxface.

Effie Confirmed and District 4, As Well

Thursday, April 28th, 2011

We reported a while back Elizabeth Banks had been cast as Effie Trinket in the upcoming Hunger Games movie, however, at the time, it still wasn’t official.

It is now!

According to MTV, Lionsgate finally confirmed the news, earlier today.

Lionsgate also confirmed the search for the unnamed Tributes from District 4 is over …

Ethan Jamieson and Tara Macken will be filling the roles.

You may recognize Ethan from his appearances on One Tree Hill or the TV movie, The Rusty Bucket Kids: Lincoln, Journey to 16. Most of Tara’s work has been stunt work, but she’s also made appearances on Sons of Anarchy, Victorious and Hawaii Five-0.

Spoiler Time: True Blood

Wednesday, April 27th, 2011

In the latest TV Guide Mega Buzz, Adam Bryant reported the following, when asked about Alcide in the new season of True Blood:

Dude’s got a beef with just about everyone. Well, almost everyone. “Alcide doesn’t like vampires at all, so you’ll definitely see that conflict,” Joe Manganiello says. “But he doesn’t like werewolves [either].  He does like Sookie.” How’s that going to sit with Bill and Eric? “His situation gets very complicated very fast,” he says.

Movie News: More ‘Hunger Games’ Casting News

Tuesday, April 26th, 2011

MTV‘s reporting the Tributes for District 3 have been cast.

District 3′s Tributes go unnamed in the book, but Ian Nelson and Kalia Prescott have been selected to fill the roles of Panem’s electronic-producing district’s tributes in the 74th Hunger Games!

Which brings a question to my mind:

Do you think the District 3 Tributes will have larger roles in the movie, than in the books, given they’ve already been cast?

Also …

No official word has been given, yet, but MTV is also reporting that the big buzz in Hollywood is that John C. Reilly is up for the role of Haymitch Abernathy, Katniss and Peeta’s alcholic, mentor.

I, personally, would have never even thought of John C. Reilly as Haymitch, but the more I think about it, I think he just might be perfect.

What do y’all think?

Let us know!
