Avert eyes if you hate spoilery

Bad Moon Rising – Elena (Nina Dobrev), Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Alaric (Matt Davis) take a road trip to Duke University and search through Isobel’s research on folklore and paranormal phenomena to see if they can uncover any clues to the mystery surrounding the Lockwood family. Isobel’s former student, Vanessa (guest star Courtney Ford, “Dexter”) offers to guide them through the research and ends up getting quite an education herself. Stefan (Paul Wesley) comes face to face with a terrifying new danger in the woods, and Tyler (Michael Trevino) makes a shocking discovery about Mason (guest star Taylor Kinney). Steve R. McQueen, Katerina Graham, Sara Canning and Zach Roerig also star. Patrick Norris directed the episode written by Andrew Chambliss.

The recap!

Instead of giving you the play-by-play… I want to answer the top questions that has been buzzing through your pretty little heads over the summer.

1. Did Jeremy actually turn into a vampire?

Unfortunately/Fortunately, it depends on who you are, Jeremy is not a vampire. Luckily, the blood allowed Jeremy from not succumbing to his suicide attempt. Also, his Uncle gave him a prized family heirloom and it saved his little ass at the end of the episode.

Also, after his talk with his Uncle and then his little brush with death, at the hands of Damon, I think Jeremy has a new appreciation for being alive.

2. Will Uncle John survive?

He did survive and he kind of redeemed himself, in my eyes, by explaining his actions and then giving Jeremy the ring.

3. Is Caroline okay?

So, this is kind of tricky. At the beginning of the episode, Damon saved Caroline by giving her some of his blood. Before you sigh happily, katherine got her demented hands on her and well…

By the way, Katherine is like Alexis Carrington on acid. LOL!!!! That’s right, it’s time for a little research.

With her introduction, you can clearly tell that she has shifted the dynamic of the show. Her main focus is Stefan and until he gives in, everyone is in trouble.

4. Will Aunt Jenna finally get a clue?

Nope. She is blissfully in the dark.

5. Will Damon find out he actually kissed Katherine?

Yes. O.O

I have to admit one thing, I felt so bad for Damon because all the women he loves…. love Stefan. Because of  this he keeps getting shut down and he can’t handle all the rejection.

Now, on the other-hand, Stefan has become this tough, no nonsense character that is quite intriguing.

Vampire Diaries scoop, please! — Micah
MICKEY: We’ll learn pretty quickly how Jeremy and Caroline fare in their stare-downs with the Grim Reaper, but the answers won’t be simple… or permanent. Also: The premiere (Thursday, 8/7c, CW) features a devastating scene between Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder. I’ll leave it up to you to guess which character Dobrev is playing in it.

So until this week’s inevitable cliffhanger and finale overanalyzing, we bring you a few juicy teaser tidbits straight from the stars themselves.

“I can tell you that there’s going to be a lot of blood, a lot of sex, and a lot of people are going to die,” Joe Manganiello told MTV News at HBO’s Emmy bash last week. “Blah, blah, blah, vampire stuff.”

Will his crazy ex-girlfriend, Debbi Pelt, survive the episode? “That would be a good question for Alan [Ball],” Manganiello said. Deftly deflected, Joe.

Fan favorite Nelsan Ellis (a.k.a. Lafayette) agreed about the blood factor. “There’s going to be a lot of blood and bite,” Ellis said.

“I’d say it’s crazier than last year’s finale,” Jim Parrack (sweet-as-pie Hoyt Fortenberry) added. “Wilder than last year’s.”

Todd Lowe, who plays PTSD-suffering war vet Terry, shared some insight into what his character will be up to. “You’ll probably see some more tears,” Lowe revealed. “And we’ll see where they’re coming from.” Arlene? A possible war flashback?

As for Pam, the saucy queen of killer one-liners, actress Kristin Bauer shared that her character will be in the midst of a fight — both physical and emotional. “For Pam, the next two episodes, she’s trying — she’s in an emotional battle and a physical battle trying to save Eric. It’s quite something,” she said. “There are some twists and turns that happen. It’s really clever.”

Marshall Alman’s summary wins the award for most succinct tease: “I can tell you that Tommy definitely gives Sam a run for his money.”

Meanwhile, Kevin Alejandro wins the award for juiciest tidbit. “You actually find out what kind of person I am,” he said of his character, Jesus. “It’s good stuff.”

Regarding his reaction to finding out his character’s new “arc,” Alejandro said it was cool. “I’ve never done anything like it. I kinda knew a little bit about it beforehand, so it’s fun,” he explained. “[I did] a lot of research to figure out how to go this route, but it’s good stuff. I think you’ll be really impressed and surprised.”

Finally, the award for most vague tease goes to series stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer.

“Lots of stuff [happens]!” Paquin exclaimed.

“Some great Eric and Bill moments,” Moyer added. “We’re not supposed to tell you.”

Paquin echoed Moyer’s statement, adding that they’d prefer to keep their jobs rather than spoil or reveal any secrets. Good for them; too bad for us.

It’s been a while. Well, I hope everyone had a wonderful Labor Day Weekend. We got a much deserved break as I hope you did too!

Yes, I know… our kids are back in school, back to the day-to-day of work and the days are getting shorter and shorter.

But, we have a couple of things coming up that should make everyone smile… The season finale of True Blood and the Season opener of the Vampire Diaries. This means that this weekend’s podcast will be all about TV.

I’m starting to get very frightened for our dear Sook (Anna Paquin). Something tells me Denis O’Hare‘s promise that he’ll be “weeping tears of joy” may have to do with him walking in sunlight, and I’m also hearing Russell probably won’t be offed. Danger, danger, danger.

Sorry kiddies, but Sam Trammell tells me Sam’s not-so-pleasant adventures are just beginning and will extend far into True Blood‘s fourth season. “I know one thing that’s going to happen with Sam [next year], which is taking it to a new level. It’s very cool.” The gang doesn’t even start shooting until November, so get ready for a long and painful off season. Sigh!

Well, how about  Bon Temps’ other new additions—Dennis O’Hare, Marshall Allman, Kevin Alejandro and Lauren Bowles? We have the scoop:

Believe it or not (and after last week’s, um, sunny episode ending, we were inclined to go with the not), all of the aforementioned newbies will be back on True Blood for season four, according to sources. So it looks like all this pretty faces up there survive next Sunday’s “bloody” (per Alexander Skarsgård) season three finale—even the (gulp) spine-snatchin’ King of Mississippi, Russell Edgington. (Hide yer babies!)

Dennis is set to return to the HBO hit next year, according to sources, but don’t expect to see Russell too early in the year. We have it on good authority (Alan Ball’s) that initially witches will reign supreme, but I’m told the plan is for Russell to reappear later in the season.

As for Lafayette’s lover, Jesus (Kevin Alejandro), Nelsan tells me, “We’re partners in crime now, my boy toy, so he will be back.” Adds Kevin with a knowing grin: “I’m hearing rumors about that, too. I’ve never been a part of anything this big before.”

Sam’s wayward little bro isn’t going anywhere either, although he’s mastered the tease.

When asked if he’ll be back, Marshall told me: “Yeah, I am. But I mean, hey! How do you know?! Come on, now! Spoiler alert!” We’ll take that as a big, fat, yessiree!

And rounding out the ranks as a newly minted series regular (she told us herself after hitting up the Emmys her sister Julia Louis-Dreyfus—yep, that one!) is Lauren, who recently joined the show as resident Wiccan Holly.

You’ll have to tune into True Blood’s season finale Sept. 12 to see how it all goes down, but feel free to grace the comments section with your brilliant theories.

Not only that, but I got Alexander Skarsgård and Sam Trammell super drunk on kiwi lime wine coolers and they talked about next season. Ok, I didn’t get them drunk, but at last night’s awesome-sauce HBO Emmy party (always the best!), they definitely did spill on what’s ahead on True Blood.And so did the rest of the cast… “There’s going to be a lot of blood. And a lot of sex. And a lot of people are going to die,” werewolf Joe Manganiello tells me about the season finale.

Wow!That’s…not brand new information at all. That’s just business as usual! Perhaps Nelsan Ellis can drop some new knowledge?

“I am happy with the way [the finale] sets up for next season. I think [the fans] will be pleased at what they find out about Lafayette. There is something to be found out in the finale about LaLa,” he says mysteriously. Shape shifter Marshall Allman (Sam’s little brother) is also bursting with giddiness over the season finale. “[It's] very shocking on every front. I think they did an excellent job of the cliffhanger this year for my character, for Anna’s character, and for Alex’s character, too,” he reveals to me.

Alexander is just hoping he’ll survive the finale, and Sam promises that someone is in “big trouble.” And not in a “we found pot in the backseat of your car” kind of way. Check out the videos below and get the goods on the season-ender of True Blood.

With her knack for being in trouble’s way, Sookie witnesses the firebombing of Merlotte’s, the bar where she works. Caught up in the politics of the vampire world, Sookie will learn that she is as much of a pawn as any ordinary human – and that there is a new Queen on the board . . .
