Lionsgate has tapped Francis Lawrence to direct the 3rd and 4th installments of the The Hunger Games movies, Mockingjay Part 1 and Mockingjay Part 2. Mockingjay is the final installment of The Hunger Games trilogy and continues the story of Katniss Everdeen, who agrees to lead the districts of Panem in a rebellion against the tyrannical Capitol.

Well, it seems the movie version of Catching Fire will be a bit different than the book.
The latest casting news is regarding Peeta’s brother.
Yes, Peeta has a brother … actually two of them, but so far we only know one’s been cast.
Yesterday, Danny Williams leaked the casting via tweets, stating his friend, Actor Isaac King had landed the role.
According to Hypable, the tweet has since been taken down, but King himself confirmed the news by tweeting a thank you back to his friend Williams. King’s account has since been deleted, which may suggest that Lionsgate didn’t like the actor letting the news out before they did.

Danny Strong, best known as Jonathan Levinson on Buffy, has signed on to write the screenplays for the final two Hunger Games films, which will be adapted from the last book in Suzanne Collins’ trilogy.

The film, which comes out November 22, 2o13, will center around Katniss and Peeta enduring the ire of President Snow after Katniss played the system in order to allow both her and Peeta to survive the Hunger Games. Also, as expected, Katniss will have to deal with whom she will pick.. will it be Peeta or Gale?

Catching Fire, the sequel to The Hunger Games, has finally found it’s Finnick!
According to Entertainment Weekly, actor Sam Claflin has been cast for the role.
Finnick Odair is the victor from District 4 and a bit of a celebrity among the ladies in the Capital, thanks to his charm and good looks.
