Friday, July 23rd, 2010

AlcideHerveauxJoe Manganiello has apparently impressed the producers of the popular HBO series so much that they’ve decided to keep him around a bit longer than expected!!!

Hopefully, we’ll get more info at this afternoon’s SDCC panel.

Thanks to Chris for the info!

P.S. Knowing that Joe will be back next year… what do you think this means for the next season, story wise?

True Blood: Meet Sookie’s Fairy Godmother… Claudine.

British actress Lara Pulver — best known from the BBC drama Robin Hood — has landed the recurring role of Sookie’s fairy godmother, Claudine.

I’ve never read Charlaine Harris’ Southern Vampire books, but I’m told that the character of Claudine plays a critical part in at least two of them.

While hanging out on twitter, people expressed their fear that Claude may not be cast in True Blood. Do you guys want Claude on the show?

Give me your thoughts.

Also, they have cast the character of Tony:

For Ep. 10 – I Smell a Rat: Male, 20’s, “tall, dark and sexy in a runaway junkie kind of way”, this prostitute who’s out for a fix vaguely resembles Talbot, which is why he’s picked up by Russell. Tony has no idea what he’s in for.

The character will be portrayed by 90210 cast member, Michael Steger. The character may be back for the 4th season as a recurring character.

So, do you think  Theo and Michael look alike?

Ausiello’s Latest: Tony, Russell’s next…

Wednesday, May 5th, 2010

Question: Please, please, some scoop on True Blood! —Jennifer
Ausiello: How’s this? The HBO soap is adding yet another recurring hunk to its cast: Tony, a twentysomething male hustler whose drug addiction and resemblance to bloodsucker Talbot make him easy pickins for the vamp’s obsessed mate, Russell.

Casting Call: Ep. 10 I Smell a Rat…

Friday, April 30th, 2010

By Maria G.

The latest casting call sheet has been floating around for a few day. But, a couple of the listings have piqued our interest:

First up, the vampire lawyer who prepares a last will and testament for Eric. Why? Is the rise in vampire hate crimes and the sudden disappearance of Bill, forcing Eric to worry about his estate once he officially turns into ashes?

Secondly, the newscaster who is seen on TV and reveals that no information on Russell’s whereabouts is forthcoming. Such a departure from the book and maybe the second high-profiled vampire kidnapping in the South.

And thirdly, the character of Jade and her husband Vern who detest Vampires and want to terrorize Vampires… head to Bill’s house to attack him but are stopped by Jessica. So, I believe this is in retaliation to the incidents in Dallas.

Intriguing, intriguing. All these little hints in the casting call sheet show that the next season is chock-full of interesting story lines.

what are your thoughts on these little spoilers…?

Holly has been cast…

Tuesday, April 6th, 2010

Lauren Bowles

Lauren Bowles has been cast as Holly in season 3 (or more) of True Blood.

As you may recall, the casting call asked for the following:

HOLLY: A thirtysomething (presumably single) mother of two, Holly applies for a job at Merlotte’s and creeps Arlene out with her oddly prescient observations. Very strong recurring in season 3 with a possible series regular upgrade in season 4.

In the books, we first meet Holly Cleary in Living Dead in Dallas. She is a human that is highly interested in the religion of Wicca. She does have a little boy named Cody and works as a barmaid at Merlotte’s and eventually ends up dating Hoyt Fortenberry.

Congratulations to Lauren!

[DR. SEKULER] Female, in her early 50s, this doctor gives Tara some dire news at the hospital.

What my niece thinks Claudine might look like

What my niece thinks Claudine might look like

Well, well… guess who is finally meeting her baby cousin. That’s right, Claudine.

A new casting call is out for S03 E07 – “Hit the Floor”:

[CLAUDINE] 30s-40s. A beautiful, kind and loving figure who knows a lot about Sookie, she appears to Sookie in a golden vision. However, their utopia is abruptly dismantled when Claudine issues Sookie a mysterious warning. Possible recurring.

So, she comes to Sook in a vision?  Interesting. Not, what I expected.

As, you recall, Claudine is a distant relative to Sookie. For those of you who have not read the books, I will not explain any further. But, her relationship with Sookie is one that that Sookie relies on and defines Sookie.

Hopefully, the story line that involves Claudine and eventually Claude and Niall’s story lines will be played up.

Do you have any ideas of who could play Claudine?

Have a great day, my lovelies.
