One last bit before you start prepping for tonight’s

In June, you will be able to pick up your copy of Regeneration, a limited edition collectors’ book and DVD that every Whovian would give up their sonic screwdiver for.

The set is adorned with superb photography from across the era and features detailed and informative accounts of each regeneration. The collection features each Doctor’s iconic regeneration episode; from the First Doctor played by William Hartnell, exhausted after battling the Cybermen to Jon Pertwee’s Third Doctor suffering from radiation that had been unleashed by the Great One; and from the spectacular transformation of the Ninth Doctor to David Tennant’s emotional farewell as the Tenth.And if that wasn’t enough, new to DVD is The Tenth Planet featuring the Doctor’s first regeneration – beautifully restored with the missing fourth episode now brought to life with stunning animation. Utilising the original soundtrack, off-screen photographs and a short surviving sequence of the Doctor’s regeneration the episode has been now reconstructed in animated form, incorporating the restored version of the surviving sequence.

For those of you who loved Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, you are in luck because you will only have to wait a couple of months to get your hands on the DVD.

That’s right, the DVD will be released on September 18th!

Tourism New Zealand head Kevin Fowler accidentally stated during a conference in Queensland  yesterday that the Blu-ray and DVD set will debut in mid-2013.

There will be a special featurette about in the DVD that will focus on Tourism in New Zealand. Kevin Fowler stated the following:

“Internationally, we really want people to make the connection the The Hobbit films were filmed here in New Zealand. Our research has found that there is a very high level of awareness to that fact, which is much broader than in what might be called… the geeky community.”

HDD – The first thirteen episodes of Syfy’s U.S. remake of the hit British fantasy series is planned for Blu-ray this November.

In an early announcement to retailers, eOne Entertainment has just revealed ‘Being Human: The Complete First Season’ for a Blu-ray release on November 15.

The fantasy TV series about a vampire, a werewolf, and a ghost cohabiting together stars Meaghan Rath, Sam Witwer, and Sam Huntington.

Specs haven’t been revealed yet, but the release will be a 4-disc set and supplements will include a Making-of featurette, Interviews, and Being Human’s 2011 Comics Con Panel.

Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is still undetermined at this time.

In celebration of BEING HUMAN’s Season 2 DVD and Blu-ray releases, Daemon’s TV will be giving away 5 Season 2 DVD sets, and if you haven’t seen Being Human, then this is your chance to get your hands on one great show.
